Therapeutic Community Intervention Trial (TACIT)
The Oxfordshire Complex Needs Service are carrying out a randomised study of the treatment provided, to find out if it is helping people who have longstanding emotional and interpersonal problems, who might be or have been diagnosed with personality disorder.
People who enter the study are either offered treatment in the Oxfordshire Complex Needs Service, or given assistance to construct a crisis plan, which will then be reviewed with them on a regular basis and shared with professionals involved.
If
you come to the Oxfordshire Complex Needs Service for an assessment, you may be
asked if you would like to participate in the study.

Information Sheet: this is given to potential participants to help
them decide whether to participate.
Invitation to Participate: this is given to prospective participants as a
first step to introducing the trial.
Health Professionals Letter: this letter invites health professionals to refer
people for participation in the trial.
Crisis Plan: this is used for participants randomised to the Crisis Plan condition.
Consent Form: this is signed by participants as confirmation of their agreement to
participate in the trial.
